Here the emphasis is on reasoning. The problems are to be done quickly, with little computation. You are given two quantities, with information on either or both. You have to decide which is the larger quantity. The facts concerning the quantities are centered above both columns. :RA Each question consists of two quantities, one in Column A and one in Column B. You are to compare the two quantities and choose the correct answer A if the quantity in A is greater; B if the quantity in B is greater; C if the two quantities are equal; D if the relationship cannot be determined from the information given. :RA Notes: 1. In certain questions, information concerning one or both of the quantities to be compared is centered. 2. In a given question, a symbol that appears in both columns represents the same thing in Column A as it does in Column B. 3. Letters k, n, and a stand for real numbers. :RA There are four choices here not five. The scoring formula is changed to: Number Correct - 1/3 Number Wrong = Raw Score Each problem you answer incorrectly has a penalty of -1/3, as opposed to -1/4. These problems seem easier to do, but be careful of guessing since the penalty is greater. :ET :ET Copyright ARROW INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS July 1983
